1. I will only date a growing Christian 2 Corinthians 6:14

2. I will only date someone I would be willing to marry. Ephesians 5:15-17

3. I will glorify God in everything I do on a date 1 Corinthians 10:31

4. I will pray for God’s direction before I ask someone out for a date or before I accept a date Ephesians 5:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:17

5. I will date only those my parents approve of Malachi 4:5-6; Colossians 3:20

6. I will seek my parents counsel and permission joyfully concerning who and when to date. I will do this because I realize that God will guide me, lead me, protect me and warn me through my parents. Ephesians 6:1-3; Colossians 3:20

7. I will respect my date and treat them the way I would treat Jesus. Matthew 25:31-46

8. I will relate my dating around God’s purpose for my life. I Corinthians 10:31

9. I will not “defraud” my date by willingly arousing sexual passions in either of us before marriage. I Thessalonians 4:3-8.

10. I will flee immorality and youthful lusts 1 Corinthians 6:18; 2 Timothy 2:22

11. I will pray before, during and after each date. If they can’t pray with me refer to number 1 above. 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Ephesians 6:18

12. I will avoid all pornography 1 Thessalonians 5:22; Psalms 101:3

13. I will do nothing with my date that I would not be willing to tell my date’s parents all about. Exodus 20:12

14. If I am a guy, I will seek the girl’s parent’s permission before I date her, and I will not date her unless or until they approve. Colossians 3:20

15. I will wait for God’s timing regarding any marriage plans. Proverbs 3:5-6

16. I will not marry anyone my parents’ disapprove of. Colossians 3:20

17. I will yield my right to date and to marry to God for as long as He thinks best Romans 12:1-2

18. I will strive to do my best with God’s help, to help my date become more like Christ on each date. Colossians 1:28

19. I will pray daily of the one I date. Ephesians 6:18

20. I will plan my dates to avoid temptation. 2 Timothy 2:22

21. I will not compromise. I will go for God’s best in every area of my life because I AM WORTH IT!
